Whisper's ........

 ........ big test!!

Left by himself for four hours - the longest we have ever left him "home alone" - he passed with flying colours!  
No damage, no 'accidents' (although he has never had an 'accident' in the house since the day we brought him home) and he didn't seem traumatised in any way.

He was VERY pleased to see us back however - almost turning somersaults - and leaping with all four paws off the floor.

Himself says we have to do tough love and can't run our social life around the dog ..... I agree but feel quite guilty when I walk out the door.  I suspect it affects me more than Whisper!!  :o))

The first couple of times we left him we shut him in the kitchen - he certainly didn't like that at all ...... I suspect that because we have ceiling to floor windows and he can see out that he feels less isolated.  
I also suspect that he makes himself comfortable on the sofa soon after we are out of sight!!

Well done, Mister Whisper, proud of you!!!!
