Lessons from Ikea

Things I know now...
* Ikea are instructions are pretty good, but are easier to understand with hindsight
* one should not assume every fixing is included - e.g. long screws to fix wardrobe to the wall
* life is easier if all your tools are in one place, and you know exactly what you need from the hardware shop
* it is helpful to have (son) agree that the bolts to fix the wardrobes together are not long enough
* going to hardware shop tired and full of head cold is likely to result in another trip (mental effort to buy right parts exhausted, I did not buy enough)..
* fitting door handles is a precision job and marking with a sharp pencil might have been better than a very blunt felt pen.
* but it is only a wardrobe after all.
