Castle Dyke

It started to rain a little as I set out this afternoon. Not rain proper, just nuisance value really.  That in mind, I thought I'd take a look at some woodlands at Ashcombe. I haven't really explored here before but I was pleased to find a line, or maybe a circle of lovely beech trees around the bronze/iron age earthworks. Even with the fairly poor light, the fallen leaves looked gorgeous and I love the shapes of these old trees.
