Leaf on a Table

I took loads of photos of Archie today but they're mostly blurry; show an extreme close up of his face as he charged towards me or show his paws or his tail disappearing off!
Or he's just completely invisible. It's so difficult to get a decent photo of a black dog!! I may have to get the big camera out tomorrow and try a bit harder!
After only a few minutes of howling when we came up to bed last night, Archie settled down and slept right through. Clever boy!
Unfortunately I had a terrible night - waking up at any tiny noise, wondering if he was OK, wondering if he was eating the table and chairs, or the cupboards or the curtains, thinking it was morning when it was only 3am. Hideous!!
He was fine! I won't document every single wee and poo but - for the record of his first night - there was just one wee and poo on the nappy pad by the back door and one rogue poo in the dining room. Not too bad for his first night!
And he hadn't eaten anything he wasn't supposed to!
The day was spent fussing him, playing with him, watching him race through the leaves in the garden like a loon, feeding him, giving him treats every time he went to the toilet outside. He's so funny trotting in proudly and sitting beaming up at us waiting for his treat!
He looked like a drowned rat every time he came in - he clearly loves the wet grass, wet leaves, wet flower beds and running around in the rain!!
And he likes snuggling down on his blanket or with us and sleeping.
I think he enjoyed his first day with us!
Already I can't imagine him not being here!!
