The Lozarithm Lens

Salisbury (Thursday 10th November 2016)

After two days blipping on the day I am reduced to backblipping again having spent yesterday in Salisbury and getting home quite late. When I arrived in the morning I discovered I had driven off without my camera bag, which apart from the obvious also held my iPad and iPhone. These held all the details of where I was to meet the Spotlight Kid for lunch and their absence ruled out the possibility of phoning him to check (in fact he'd forgotten his phone as well).

Luckily by chance I had one camera left in the car from a previous outing and I changed its wide-angle zoom for a kit lens that I keep there as an emergency spare, and I managed by miraculous divination to find my way to the right restaurant, the Café Diwali, on time, and we had a super lunchtime platter of Indian street food.

Apart from a brief shower the day stayed fine with interesting light and we had a good walk following sections of the Hampshire Avon to the south and east of the city through Harnham, then back through the cathedral grounds and up to the Central car park via another section of the river, finishing off with coffee and cake at the Boathouse.
