VISTA THROUGH THE .....

.... bunya pine!

Went looking for a different angle on things with the late afternoon sun today.

Thanks to Hobbs I learnt a lot today in regard to resizing etc. Found on his guide the On1 resize software, very flash and easy. Have not really had a need to worry to much about this part of the photo fun, but like everything it adds another dimension to the "fun". Thanks David, worked a treat.

Anyway, just up the road from our new place there are some pretty nice vistas. This one is looking east back to Richmond over the market gardens which were set up here on the mighty Hawkesbury River back when the first settlers went looking for fresh water and good crop growing soils. Still here, differing a lot of the other market garden areas around Sydney taken over by housing development. This is flood prone and hence not conducive for building homes, so may be will always be used for fresh produce. Let's hope so.

Then across the road took some shots of another aspect. This in fact is in process of having some 1,400 homes built when all complete.

Have a look in Flickr, in particular liked this one of a willie showing how they got their name, willie wagtail!

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE
