Looking at Art

Went with friend Mike to the Bellevue Art Museum to see Kara Walker’s show. “Emancipating the Past, Tales of slavery and Power”.   cut outs, silkscreens, film, metal cutouts, lithographs:  all wonderful.

This is a metal piece in the other show there “MetalMorphosis”,  a biennial at this arts and crafts museum…all about metal.   Sorry I can’t even say who this artist is.. but it took her days and days to stick each little wire into that wall.  (Mike’s photo might be more interesting.)

Looking, hearing, making, and thinking about art seems to me a very good thing to do these days...
