Fly tipping

Just what is the point of this?....................

Today we went to Kirkliston to see Ann's friend Joanna. Joanna has a cat so I was looking forward to chasing her and making her run out through her cat flap. That would have been really funny. Hee hee. But do you know what happened when we got to Joanna's house?................. Ann said, 'Molly, we are not actually going into Joanna's house because I do not want you traumatising the cat. We are going to take you for a walk.' Yay! I love going for a walk in new places.

So we walked along the lanes of Kirkliston and just look what we found.................... All this rubbish just dumped. It looked like someone had been doing a house clearance because there were armchairs, doors, flooring, etc. And what Ann doesn't really understand is.................... to get to the spot where it was dumped, the 'dumper' would have had to have deliberately driven here and as there were a few people about, they must do the dumping in the middle of the night??? Not quite sure what the rules are for disposing of rubbish in Scotland, but in Cornwall if you go to the tip in an ordinary car you can get rid of what you want for free. We suspect that this would have been brought here via a van (ie commercial waste) and whilst it's understandable that people don't want to pay to dispose of rubbish we had to pay for four skips when we were refurbishing our flat; if the 'dumpers' were out for a Sunday morning stroll would they really want to be confronted with this?

Grrrrrrr.........................
