TINY TUESDAY

When one no longer has very small children or grandchildren, one forgets how tiring it can be looking after them.  Although we enjoyed looking after three delightful little girls yesterday, I wasn’t so much physically tired, but mentally.  I had forgotten just how many questions a 3 year old asks!

We watched a lovely film, “The Velveteen Rabbit” which doesn’t stick strictly to the story in the book, but it provoked many questions from both the 3 year old and the 7 year old, which I tried to answer honestly, and I have no doubt if they watch the film again with their mother, they will probably ask the same questions, some of which were very deep.

When we got home I did feel rather tired and went to bed quite early, so imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and saw that it was 10.23!  I had intended cleaning the house this morning, but that will wait and the dust will still be there tomorrow!

Mr. HCB had already gone out because he was meeting up for coffee at 10 o’clock with his cricket buddy, Keith, so I knew I could potter around peacefully and “come to” in my own time.

I got up and had a shower before looking for something festive to blip for Tiny Tuesday - so here is one of my little angels that stands just 3 inches high, and if you look very carefully, you can even see the reflection of my pink robe.

I’m meeting my friend, Caroline, this afternoon, so I hope she doesn’t ask too many questions!!

“What if you were wrong?
What if everything you ever believed was a lie?
What if you missed your opportunity
because you didn't know your worth?
What if you settled on familiar,
but God was trying to give you something better?
What if you decided not to go backwards,
     but forward?
What if doing what you have never done before
was the answer to everything that didn't make sense?
What if the answer wasn't to be found in words,
     but in action?
What if you found the courage to do
what you really wanted to do
and doing it changed your whole life?”
