Winter strollers en route to the pub

We went for a lovely walk with friends along the Ripon Canal today for a catch-up and then a very tasty pub lunch at the Masons Arms in Bishop Monkton.
The forecast was not good, and we did endure a brief soaking, but we also had some sunshine between the heavy showers.

There was no canal traffic to be seen, and the water was strangely calm and quiet - see today's extra.
