Gloucester Green: Dancing for Joy

Funnier forelimb poses in large.

I took the little Canon to Gloucester Green food market as it was getting set up for the day (although some stalls were already ready while others continued to cook); I had fun using its flip out screen to take sneaky shots surreptitiously, but in the end it was the sheer joy of these tourists cuddling a Chihuahua that I kept coming back to (although my alternatives are linked below)... A tricycle rider appeared with two pooches in baskets: the Chihuahua was shy, but the attention that I gave it (in spite of my distaste) drew over the tourists, and their enthusiasm led the dog owner to hand them the dog for cuddling (*blip*).

It started to drizzle ("riding in the rain"), so I ducked into the Ashmolean where I photographed the atrium staircase for a change (upwards and downwards) as well as some of my favourite exhibits in the Japan galleries (inc. samurai armour and inrō).

My other shots are on Flickr (right from here).
