Caen Hill (Sunday 8th January 2017)

I rocked up to Caen Hill to check on the swans on my way to somewhere else. It was a somewhat foggy day and the boats moored in Caen Hill Moorings were the brightest colours to be found. I dare say the swans were around but I only saw the cygnet, who was preening himself on the opposite bank of the Moorings, and looked fine, I'm pleased to report.

This dog lives in one of the narrowboats permanently moored there and I heard him before I saw him as he was barking while I walked down the steep path that leads to the towpath, to my great displeasure. He looks rather handsome though. I don't dislike dogs, only their bark.
