New career

Today I officially told my current employer about my exciting plans for the future.
I am employed by the local council who stipulate that employees must ask permission to work elsewhere, voluntary or paid, whilst still working for them. I have been training to become a driving instructor for the past 6 months. A total change of career for me but one I am very excited about. I got permission today to work both jobs.
I still need to pass my final driving instructor test but have started to take pupils out and I am really enjoying being part of their learning journey.
Another hurdle I can tick off.
