Nearly Full Wolf Moon

Native Americans called the Full Moon for January the Full Wolf Moon, because it appeared when wolves howled in hunger outside the villages. Traditionally, the January Moon is also known as the Old Moon. For some Native American tribes, this was the Snow Moon.  This LINK has lots of info about Native American beliefs about the moon.  The Full Moon isn't until the 12th January but the sky was so unusually clear this morning - 00.10 - that the Moon was exceptionally bright  -  the sky might not be so on the 12th:(  This an interesting animated LINK and some haunting music to go with it.  Enjoy!
