Hiking

An unusual day.

At 7am I had to push my son's car to help him get up the small hill from the house to the main road. Pyjamas and a dressing gown are not ideal for this. In spite of having my good Bavarian hiking shoes on, I ended up flat on my face in the street.

An appointment with my GP at 9.10am (see extra). In spite of the agenda the Scottish media is working to, the Scottish NHS seems to be doing just fine. I'd phoned for the appointment just yesterday morning, and made it clear it was routine as opposed to urgent.

Dr Locum was very co-operative and prescribed what Dr D wants me to take. This makes my life so much easier.

I walked to the practice - a good 35 minutes each way. A cold wind, but otherwise very pleasant. I was ready for my porridge when I got home.

The Blip is the woodland walk which is a nice alternative to walking next to one of the busiest roads in town during the rush hour. Sadly the woodland is neglected. A Bavarian would be horrified.
