View from the MEP...

... which is the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (European House of Photography)--one of the two major photography museums in Paris (the other is the Jeu de Paume).  This is a small gallery at street level, showing superb photographs of New Delhi by Johann Roussellot, a Belgian photojournalist who lives in New Delhi. He appears in the monitor, which displays an extended  video of the city, taken by a camera on wheels which he pushed in front of him, narrating as he walked; it was like taking a walking tour with him. Roussellot's project received a prize for photo-reporting jointly sponsored by the MEP.  There were four other shows as well, shown on the limited English site; the French site  more extensive.  Roussellot's show is best represented here.
