Waiting for evening walk

Lest that last photo gave you the impression that we lived in a war zone, here are the three German Shepherds waiting by the back door for their evening walk. No bruises, no blood, no injuries---just happy anticipation.

Every evening, Mike takes the dogs for a walk up to the chicken coop at the southern edge of our property. We have coyotes, raccoons, and weasels that find chickens tasty, so they must be closed into their "inner sanctum" each night. It's a much anticipated event. Just hearing the word "chickens!" makes the canine gang race to the kitchen door for their excursion.
