Nohackovich

Went to a chamber concert with A at Hellens Manor this afternoon. 

It was excellent and great to be in a small venue albeit one with limited view for most of the audience.  The programme was of Russian music from the likes of Prokofiev, Taneyev, and, um, Brahms.

The blip is of the Steinway.  Now, if software engineers implemented the equivalent of a piece of cloth wrapped around the strings the word 'hack' would be used liberally and in disparaging terms. 

I'm quite expecting this piece of cloth has some sophisticated Italian name and is clearly integral to the essence of the instrument; and not a hack at all. Obviously.
