Red Cabbage

A day for making pickled red cabbage. I recently discovered that my maternal great-grandfather was something of a pickle manufacturer and merchant - having two pickle shops in Victorian Liverpool. No idea where the pickle fortune went but I do seem to have inherited the pickle-making gene.
