Slough Station: Scared by a Speeding HST

More surprised in large.

I had a wait at Slough Station en route back between Eton and Oxford; I was torn between closing my eyes for a moment, and photographing the commuters queueing for London and tourists travelling to Windsor, but the pretty light and station scenes captured my interest.
I particularly liked the people rushing for the regularly departing Slough to Windsor & Eton Central train (some amble, while others race as soon as they see it: short cinematic series right from here).
The family above were excited in anticipation of a fun-filled day in Windsor; the older child laughed at the little one when she covered her ears as each noisy train passed, but then got a hideous shock when a High-Speed Train passed by on the nearest line (*blip*); the mother seemed as shocked by the child's response as the child did by the train!

Experience my wait (?!) on Flickr (right from here).
