Above And Beyond...

Homeward Bound

We were collected from our hotel at 6pm and eventually got home at 4pm; allowing for the time difference with Australia, it was 30 hours travelling.

The airbus A380 took off from Perth at 10.15pm for the 11 hour flight to Dubai for the changeover. On arrival here it was pouring with rain but it didn't concern us as our two hours inside the terminal was ideal to stretch our legs before boarding the A380 to Heathrow, London which landed at midday on Saturday.

Not long after take off from Dubai we flew for miles over snow covered mountains. The GPS on the camera identified the blipfoto of a couple of snow capped peaks as Iran near the border with the Persian Gulf.  We passed over a couple of other countries with much snow covered areas which I took photo's of but I like the Iranian one best.

Just before approaching the Severn Bridge, M4, Avon, I was able to pick up BBC Radio Wales and listened to the whole first half of the Cardiff City V Rotherham match, before listening to the rest on the radio at home. A home match I would normally have gone - and I missed a cracker as Cardiff won 5-0!  One of the negatives of being a traveller.
