Almost exactly one month ahead of schedule, The Mobile Foundry have now completed "Channel" their sculptural bronze bench. It is now installed in Invergordon's Natal Gardens.
It is the first of the three works that make up Invergordon off the Wall's Evolution project, funded by Creative Scotland and the Highland Culture Programme to be completed and installed.

Roddy Mathieson, of The Mobile Foundry added.
"We are really delighted with all the help that we have received from local
businesses like Port Services and Isleburn. Their generous support
means that this piece right through from our workshops with the schools, us
casting the piece in the Evolution Workshop, through the specialised welding and now
installation, mean that "Channel" truly has been made in Invergordon."

His co-artist Kevin Blackwell remarked,
"I am really looking forward to seeing folks sitting on it as well as children playing on it. "Channel" is a piece of public art that is there to be used and enjoyed."

The other two pieces, "Reflections" and "Foundations" will be installed in late September and October. An inaugural event, involving Invergordon Youth Theatre, is being planned for the 16th November.
