St Mary's Saffron Walden

A slow day today with bizarre weather.  We woke up (late) to pouring rain and thought of the several admirable people we know running the Cambridge half marathon.  Very well done to all who did it!

This was taken when I popped into SW to pick up some shoes and the extra was in Linton half an hour later.  Extraordinary!

I merged two photos in Lightroom in order to get all the spire in this picture and although my computer goes very slowly the merge worked, and so  that is something I've learned how to do today which is very pleasing.
