Tour Guides

Excellent day today. Eating in Reguengos on Wednesday, I started talking to a couple I heard speaking English on another table. (Never know if I'm going to annoy someone by talking to them like this... Question - would you be??) He's English and she's American, and on holiday near here, but speak no Portuguese - brave, if you ask me.

Anyway, offered our services as tour guides, and they rang the next day accepting. Great in the Adega, because the men started singing Cante while we were there - had never heard it on a Friday before. Had drinks up in Monsaraz, and then walked to "our" land and had a picnic we'd prepared. Lots of chatting and a great time together - there are such interesting folk in this world, and we learnt a lot about how a couple like that see this area. Extra of Nancy, and the little dog who followed us the whole time.

Oh, and the main blip is of three Roma lads (aren't they gorgeous?) who'd been picking wild asparagus, so I asked them to show it to Nancy, and they asked me if I'd take a photo of them, so I did, quickly - not sure if I should get a copy printed to give them...
