Lemon meringue pie

Tiny Tuesday: Lemon meringue pie

The warm weather in the UK over the last week has accelerated the plant life and all the daffodils in our garden are fully in bloom now.  This lemon and white variety is one of my favourites and its good to capture while it is still here.  All too soon now we will be dead heading them and they will be gone for another year.

My immediate family will probably be amused by the title for this shot.  They know only too well that lemon meringue pie is one of my least favourite things :-). I know that its irrational to a degree, but I have memories of lemon meringue pies made from packets that Mum used to make back in the early 70's - yuck!

I've experimented a bit with the lighting to get this one.  I've tried out a degree of backlighting, not something that I have tried historically.  I rather like the result and will definitely be exploring the possibilities at some stage in the future.

Many thanks to Freyjad who hosts this week's Tiny Tuesday challenge

But not tomorrow.  Tomorrow is a day at the races - the Cheltenham festival to be precise.  Fingers crossed for some street photography opportunities with the little Sony.
