What a great book!  It was on the hut bookshelf when I stayed at Froggatt a couple of weeks ago, I began reading but hadn't managed to finish it by the time we had to leave.  Luckily Richard said he had a copy and now I'm almost finished.

True stories like this always leave me wondering how I'd manage myself in such desperate circumstances, but I guess the will to survive is so strong that we'd all do whatever was called for, no matter what the pain, risk or consequences.
