Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Strange leaves

Our false shamrock plant Oxalis triangularis has brightened our lives with its profuse flowers for the last 25 years or so. This year, for the first time some of the flower stems also have small purple leaves growing on them. As to whether this is normal, or the result of a developmental aberration I have no idea. We live in interesting times!
