We Need To Talk About Declan

I think we should focus on Declan.
He’s the impressive man.
He does everything much better
and far faster than Bernard can.

He’s travelled widely. Is well read.
He’s a competent mechanic. Bakes bread.
And, by all accounts,
guarantees satisfaction in bed.

He plays drums, guitar, trombone,
trumpet (though never blows his own).
He’s a marathon runner. A tennis ace.
He’s at ease in a crowd or alone.

He does everything far better
and much faster than Bernard can.
So I think we should focus on Declan.
