A city of contrasts

My friend and I dropped her youngest daughter at nursery school and then went for a walk at Singapore’s largest area of green space. It’s a reservoir with paths around it and through nearby tropical forest (see extra). It doesn’t seem possible that my main blip and the extra were taken only a few miles apart.

Later in the day I went into the city centre and walked around the Quays area along the river. It’s where all the original trading happened in the 19th Century. Now the old buildings have been restored and many contain restaurants and bars. Nearby is the central area with the largest number of skyscrapers. I liked this contrast of low and high rise next to the water.
