Back blip 2
A good flight to Cuba. We were pleased that we had splashed out and got Premium Economy seats with Virgin Atlantic which really do give more leg space.
Havana airport was pretty chaotic. We were supposed to be met by our Casa owner but he neglected to tell us he was unable to get there. So, after a very long slow moving queue to get money exchanged, we then had to find a taxi. (It's not possible to get Cuban money except in Cuba)
A nice taxi driver who spoke some English and pointed out places to us as he drove us to Casa.
Our Casa was in the old part of Havana and in a good situation. The owner, I think, generally was a bit of a bullshitter. One of his claims was that his wife was the brother of the ballet dancer Carlos Acosta. Anyway, fairly comfortable accommodation.
Out for a meal where we got ripped off.....being charged over the top service charge. We had a walk along the sea front called the Malecon. Fabulous light and lots of young people sitting on the front wall. I took a lot of photos.
But, loved this little boy with his lollipop.
