Marjorie's ramblings

Reality?

When I took this photograph I was not thinking how apt it would be later in the day.

I met Julie in Newcastle for lunch before we went to see The Red Lion at the Live Theatre. It's a special adaptation of his own play by Patrick Marber, and stars Stephen Tompkinson. One of the other actors is Dean Bone, whom I saw in The Terminal Velocity of Snowflakes last year. He's someone to watch out for in the future.

The play is about passion, loyalty, ambition, salvation, desparation, and more. It is set in the changing room of a small time, semi-pro football club.

Sandy and a former work friend were there too. We all enjoyed the play.

I had time to drive home, stick a ready-made fish pie in the oven for us to eat, before Mum and I went to the NT Live production of Rozencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead at the Forum in Hexham. The cinema was full for Tom Stoppard's "absurdist, existential tragicomedy". We had not seen it before and loved it.

I'm a bit tired now, aka my brain hurts!

You can now see why I think my image is perfect for the day.

Lou - who provided socks yesterday - was there tonight and helped Mum while I went for the car. These walking friends come in very handy indeed!
