Anzac Day.

Today is a public holiday, so a nice quiet morning to go for a walk.

In the past upwards of 10,000 thousand Australians have travelled to Gallipoli, in Turkey, to commemorate this day.  This year only about 700 to a 1,000 have gone.

This is not for any lessening of remembrance for this day, but to do with security fears in the area.  A sad sign of the times.

But it didn't stop people in their thousands attending ceremonies here.
