Field Depth Yellow

A trip out to Shropshire this afternoon emerged into an afternoon of extreme weather and colours.

April 25, 2017           Hidden Depths of Yellowness

They call it mellow.
I call it brash.
Beauty in brashness?
Is it in the eye of the beholder?
A beauty for ever?
A thing of joy?
Or just a blot?
On the landscape
Of Constable?
Turner?
Keats?
Shakespeare?
Oh so English.
Now.
Not before.
Not everywhere.
No memories
Of what was there before.
But for today, for me,
It was cheerfulness and brightness and optimism.
Brashness in Beauty.
A Joy.
