Awakening

Today, after a busy family filled weekend, we took Charlie back to Bristol Airport (via a renal clinic drop-in) for her return to the south of France and more university research. So fab to have had her home, even for a couple of days, and already we're missing her. :-)

On the way back, we dropped in to Tyntesfield for a coffee and a wander around the garden. Madly busy with Bank Holiday folk, of course, but lovely nonetheless. This fern was unwrapping its fronds beside the greenhouses, uncaring of all the cars seeking parking spaces nearby.

And it's Beltane already! The years speed up over the years, and out in the fields the whole world is full of life. The earnest folk were up before dawn to dance the Sun up, and I'm glad they were there and I hope they weren't disappointed I was elsewhere preoccupied.

Sumer is i-cumin' in, folks. Loudly sing; cuckoo! :-)
