Down memory lane

Back in Groningen, where it all began! As has become tradition, we are staying with our friend Marlies, photographer and lover of all things from times past. Her newest acquisition is this gorgeous 19th century camera, handmade by photography shop....Ivens & Co (no family as far as I can tell), predecessor of what would become the first photoshop chain in The Netherland, with also a shop here in Groningen. While she's figuring out how to make home made glass negative emulsion for her new toy, we're in town catching up with friends!
