The Gironde from Phare de Richard

I have blipped these little fishing huts, or Cabanes, previously, but not from the top of the Phare du Richard which was open to visitors today.
I always think they look rather splendid lined up on the banks of the Gironde with their nets, or Carrelets slung out over the water.
The lighthouse is featured in today's extra. At only 18 metres tall, it was never very successful, and a taller metal one was erected behind it! This was dynamited in 1957 and only the foundations remain.
