If you can't beat them...

Fern.

The curling ends of fern fronds which I think are called "Fiddle Heads"  in some parts of the world always attract me.  I didn't try to blip one when they were at their best so I decided to try one today.

We began the day by going to the village plant sale early.  We dropped off the recycling and were at the stalls 5 minutes before they were due to open.  Just as well by 15 minutes past opening time there was a crowd.

One heroic lady hard grown 300 tomato plants of about 8 different varieties.  She had manged to grow them to about a foot high in 7 or 8 inch pots.  They were disappearing fast.
