Meet Monsieur Crapaud

While digging up a gorse bush this morning, we came across this little creature. I think he was a little alarmed to see us.
Luckily he escaped injury from the garden fork and once he had posed for a blip he scuttled away into the undergrowth.

Of course, crapaud  is the French word for toad.
