An arresting performance

After Cabinet this morning the "Reach for Autism" Group delivered an autism awareness session for Cabinet Secrearies, Ministers and some senior civil servants in the drawing room of Bute House.

It was, in every sense, an arresting performance - moving, troubling, informative and full of food for thought and action.

After three short dramatic scenes the key players - Martin , Alanah, Greg, Jade, Kira and John - told us their stories , answered questions and made suggestions for future policy. I have included a picture of them with the FM and DFM as my extra photo.

All those involved - including police officers, the DHT of Inverclyde Academy and the other members of the group - deserve much credit. Together they are changing attitudes and introducing new ideas In a hugely important way.
