The Way I See Things

Starry

Thank you so much for all the kindness you bestowed on my three-year Blipversary post yesterday; I'm quite overwhelmed with the response to my high-key Aquilegia silliness, which is currently sitting at number 3 in Pops. I will try to get around to answering the comments individually, but I confess to being rather snowed-under right now.

I posted this stonecrop, Sedum spathulifolium 'Cape Blanco', a couple of weeks ago when it was still only in bud, and I thought you might like to see how it looks now that the flowers are opening. I'm delighted with it - I think it's especially charming that as well as the individual flowers being star-shaped, the flower heads also form stars.

R and I popped out for brunch today, and then duly fortified spent some time on domesticity - cleaning the house, and in his case also mowing lawns. I don't actually feel that I did all that much, though my step count for the day is probably pretty good, but I'm absolutely pooped: I think the humidity we've been experiencing here this week is probably responsible, especially as it's been hard to sleep. We're promised thunderstorms tomorrow, which would be helpful - they might clear the air, and the garden is still in need of water.

Perhaps I should get the sprinkler out, just to make sure we get rain!
