Pond on Day 2

Substantial progress on the pond today after the day off yesterday with heavy rain.

Martin and Harry will return on Friday to tidy up and start planting, I hope. Harry is to prepare a planting scheme. We should have much easier access than before to place plants at two different levels. We keep our existing water lily but will have a bigger one as well, to cover the surface as much as possible.

Bedevilled by a  horrendous head cold, I made it into Leicester for choir rehearsal but would much rather have been in bed. I had no voice for half the time.

I hope I recover before Saturday's concert.
