IT'S TOO HOT TO GO LOOKING FOR DERELICTION!

It’s just after 9 a.m. and it is already very hot, so there is no way we will be going out to search for dereliction after church today!

I decided to just potter around in the garden and take a few photographs of the various flowers;  fortunately most of them are still in the shade, so I just pointed and clicked.  The honeysuckle and roses smell beautiful and it was good to see so many flowers - in fact, this collage is just a small selection of the ones in our back garden.

The passion flower in the bottom left photograph was given to us by a fellow Blipper, when we visited her and her husband in Cornwall a couple of years ago - we have nurtured the three plants and they are now rewarding us with these beautiful flowers.

As I wandered, I could hear the birds singing, and we have Great Tits nesting in our box again, so I could hear the little ones tweeting - I think they may fledge soon, but for the moment Mum or Dad still goes in regularly with tiny grubs to feed them - they must be exhausted.

When we were sitting in the garden yesterday, we saw Jays, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Gold Finches, Starlings, Sparrows and a young Great Spotted Woodpecker - so I made sure I had my Canon with the large zoom next to me - see my extra.

I don’t find Father’s Day easy, for many reasons, and often feel quite emotional when I see what people write about how wonderful their father is or was, so today, I am going to think about how fortunate I am to have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for me and who has provided such beauty in creation for me to enjoy.

"Remember that children,
     marriages and
          flower gardens
reflect the care
     they get."
