Playing with Light

It was a very long and busy day today. Spent the morning getting the house ready for the duplicate bridge group. Arvin helped, bless him. The table was full of goodies and the three tables were up and ready by the time everybody arrived. We had barbeque meatballs, smoked salmon, salami and cheese, chips, dips, crackers, veggies and fruit and biscatti for desert. One of the players brought home made cookies too. Yum. My brother Steve and his partner won. I and mine came in second from the bottom. Ah well. It was fun.

Steve and Dave stayed for dinner after the game which ended around five. Steve's girlfriend Kai came too and we all relaxed awhile before I made dinner. After we played dominoes and finished around nine. By then I was very tired but wanted to work on my blip photos.

While I was preparing for bridge I decided to grab a few photos of light coming in the kitchen window and making patterns. I put a red plastic water bottle, a blue glass and a small clear flower vase in various positions and took a bunch of photos. It was hard to choose a favorite. I like this one very much. Check it out in large. I fiddled with this in Photoshop to give it the painterly look. You can see more of the photos I took here on Chaikins of Bellingham.
