Truly Blippin' Marvelous

Shamrock

A door stands in a field. Intrigued, you approach it.  It is a plain wooden door with no frame; it is just a door. You start to walk around it. Behind the door you see yourself as an apparition where the door stood. You continue walking around the place where the door stood. The door appears again and now you notice more details. On the door a sign reads 'Opportunity' and below the sign three door knockers. One is large and heavy and ornately decorated with gold and is engraved with the word Wealth, the second, equality heavy but less ornate is labelled Fame. The third doorknocker seems hardly fit for purpose. It is made of the finest Murano crystal in the most intricate and delicate design of the glass makers art. Interwoven in the design are the words Health and Happiness.

With which knocker do you open the door of opportunity?

Fame. Celebrity? Notoriety? Invention? Artistry? Discovery? . . .

No, I don't aspire to fame. But if I did acquire fame for just 15 minutes? It should be for an equality fleeting achievement like finally completing 365 consecutive Blips. My shining moments of the past? Winning the mile at school sports day in my personal best time.
