Hovering Hummer

I am   sitting in my Hammock Chair in my backyard at the beach; of course I have hummingbird friendly plants in my yard here too. This is a Rufous Hummingbird; it has orange coloring, while the Anna has a magenta coloring. This guy was zipping around from flower to flower, but once in awhile he would simply hover above the flowers as if he needed to decide where to go next. He wasn't making any sounds except for the buzzing of his wings; I could hear him coming and going right past my head. So fun!  It has been pleasantly warm, but now the breeze is coming up and it is getting a little too cool so I am going to go inside and finish a couple projects. It is always something that needs to be done, isn't it?
