FlowerFriday14 Montbretia

This week our host, BikerBear, has suggested that we incorporate the first letter of either our journal or blipper name.  Mine being the same, cut down the difficulties a little, but finding something in the garden that was flowering AND began with 'M' was actually quite hard!  In the end, I've settled for 'Montbretia' the alternative (and most frequently used) name for which is Crocosmia.
Not the best of photos: there was quite a breeze today and spits and spots of rain from time to time, enough to be irritating but not sufficient to water the garden...
My extra is my alternative flower, Violet, who had a sleepover with us last night.  She usually sleeps in until after 8am, but not this morning:  she appeared bright and cheerful at 6.15.  The downside of this is that by the time we reached Tumble Tots late morning, she'd fallen fast asleep in the car and found it rather difficult to wake up and get going again.

In other news, the Wimbledon men's semi finals were played today and I was pleased to see that Roger Federer sailed through.  On Sunday he'll play against Marin Cilic, hoping to achieve an historic 8th Wimbledon win.
