The Cuckoo Bird

Weeded the raspberry lot at the cottage, and suddenly a large bird flew to sit on the carpet washing grille. The bird held the left wing resting on the grille. Realized that it must be a cuckoo, and our resident bird watcher confirmed later this to be the case. Managed to get a few shots of the cuckoo, never got so close to one before..
