Afternoon Tea with Jeri

Today I went to the station at the normal time, but instead of catching the train to Metheringham, I went to Newark. I was there early, so I had a good look round the town before meeting my daughter Jeri.

She was treating me to afternoon tea at Teacups Tea House. It's a gorgeous little place! We didn't actually have tea - it was too hot! We had milkshakes - strawberry shortcake for me, and Oreo for Jeri.

There was also sandwiches, cakes, scones and strawberries! It was divine!

We went back to Jeri's and collected the boys from school. It is their last day tomorrow, for the long school holidays! And Horatio is going to learn to play the saxophone!

I also got to see my oldest boy, Zeph. He'd been visiting Lincoln today, and I was sad to miss seeing him. But Brian brought him along when he came to collect me from Jeri's, and we dropped him back at his live-in job after spending a bit of time at Jeri's house.

I came home to find another bottle for my blender from Bri, and some DVD's from Zeph for my birthday!
