The bright field ...

Of course it isn't a field, but my favourite poet R.S.Thomas wrote a poem of that name about a suddenly-illuminated field, and it came to mind as a sudden gleam transformed the hillside above Loch Eck this afternoon. It was the only sun we saw while we were out, and Loch Eck is an incredibly dark loch on the best of days. I think it's because the hills slope so steeply into the water, with only the narrowest flat shore on either side. The main road out of Dunoon is on the far side; we were on the track past the water works.

Another must-do-my-10,000-steps-walk that yielded some lovely moments and ended in the rain.
