Banchory

We are now in Deeside for 6 days of orienteering. Sons R&M are camping at the Event campsite in Ballater. They have our tent, there is no longer room for 4 people in it as there was when they were small. We have been very kind and let them have the tent and we are staying in a hotel.  The 5 day weather forecast is wet. I am quite very pleased we are not camping although we are a long way away from the "action".

We walked up to "Sunset Seat" in the evening having read it was a good place to watch the sunset, (and take a photo I thought). Someone needs to go up  there with a saw -  many too many trees in the way.  Took this on the way back down into the town at 10:00pm.
